Hello, I am in the adult dodgeball league for the YMCA. I have some tips that I have learned that I would enjoy sharing with you.... here they are!
1. If you happen not to receive a ball win you race to get a ball, stay back and attempt to let somebody throw
one on the other team.
2. Only catch a ball if you are ready, do not attempt to catch fast balls.
3. The bigger or taller the person, the lower you need to throw.
4. Be confident, if you are, that will boost your game to do better.
5. Remember: dodging is good, however, it does not help your team at all.6.
6. A good tip is to look at one person when you have a ball and throw at the other.
7. Never stand still. Be alert. People try to catch you off guard, be prepared.
8. Practice at home, if you do, you can prove better on the field.
I hope you enjoy and take my advice seriously on the field. Have a good Wednesday!

The Borodash 2011
It all started when I woke up on Thanksgiving Day. I got my clothes on and did everything else you probably do in the morning. Then, I got on my tag. I was all ready for the Borodash! I walked outside to wait for my cousins, and it was FREEZING cold. It was also very foggy. When they arrived, we departed to the location. When we got out of the car, it was still freezing cold. In fact, it was so cold I could see precipitation in the air! My eldest cousin, uncle, my dad and me walked to the starting line while the middle cousin, my brother, my sister, and my mom went to cheer us on. There were about 2,400 people their, and did I mention it was freezing cold? I stretched and just like that, the race began. It took a while to push toward the front but I managed. I sped through the one and two mile mark, raced past the third, and it was eerily quiet at that point in the race. Towards the very end, a guy dressed up as Santa Claus patted me on the back. I dashed into the stadium where the finish line was waiting for me. The 4 mile race was over. I ran a 28:47 and got 59TH over all! 4th in my age division. After I ran I rushed into the warm bathroom and thawed my frozen hands. It was a GREAT race but was freezing!

And Interesting facts about our pets
Hey, did you know we had a dog named Lilly, and she is a golden retriever who is trained and has never bitten anyone? She is also afraid of fireworks, gunshots, and even trees blowing in the wind! Yes she is a Scaredy Cat
er... I mean Dog. Anyway, we have taught her tricks, like sit, lay down, shake hands, look, and twirl! Yes it is very interesting. We also got her from Massachusetts! Yes it is very interesting. Now my cat Tigger has some interesting facts too. He likes foods like nacho chips, french fries, any sort of meat, and even coffee grounds!
He also turned a light on while my family was watching a movie! Twinkle, however, is a very fat girl cat, she isn't the most exciting cat, who sleeps a lot. Our last pet for now is Sprinkles. She has escaped her cage and ran under the refrigerator... TWICE! Those are some interesting facts. Have a good Wednsday.

The Borodash is Coming I'm all Registered!
On Thanksgiving, there will be an exciting race called... The Borodash that I am running in! It is a 4 mile course and is flat. I am excited because this is my 2nd time doing it. Last year I ran 28 minutes and that was very interesting. You see, at one part of the race like the 2 mile and the 3 mile mark or something like that they hand out water. At the end they have all kinds of snacks! They have baked chips, bananas, water bottles, and lots more! Also, they have doorway prizes that are amazing! Some are expensive gift cards, cash, actual prizes, and much more! I am excited about it. Have a good day!

How to Do Great at Running
I have a pretty good strategy at running I would like to share with you. Now if you just got off the couch and started running, I would suggest starting out slow. Here is some ideas for all runners.
1. Start an easy goal.- Try and set something easy and moderate. Then set the goal harder.
2. Push Yourself!- Always push yourself while running, or else, how are you going to get any good?
3. Try not to walk.- If you absolutely are dying, then walk, but I wouldn't recommend it.
4. Good Form.- Make sure you have good form, like keep your arms in 90 degree angles.
5. Work out every day.- Make sure you work out every day. It can be in your neighborhood or local YMCA.
6. Eat Healthy.- Remember to eat stuff like bananas, sandwiches, and not a lot of pizza or doughnuts.
7. Stretch.- Right before and after you run stretch. Avoid cramps as much as possible.
Thank you for reading. I hope that motivates you to get off the couch and run! Have a good Saturday!

My Cool Experiment at Home school
I had a really cool experiment at Home school today. It involved a chemical reaction! It started out by when I got a 2 liter bottle, and filled it with vinegar. Than I got some hot water, filled it up with cabbage leaves, and waited for it to boil. While it was boiling, I filled a uninflated balloon with with baking soda. After the leaves were done, I put the liquid(which was blue) and put it inside the bottle. It turned pink! After that, I put the balloon on top of the the bottle, poured it in.... and Wow the color foamed and turned purple, the balloon filled with air! It was exciting!

Hoedown
A couple days ago on October 30th me and my family went to a church event called Hoedown. You see, Hoedown is a place where everything is free. Free inflatables, free rides, free cotton candy, 7 up, popcorn, and much more. You see, it is an event that tells us that we need to grow in our community. So the church invited everyone everywhere to enjoy Hoedown. Every ride you got on you got candy. My favorite ride was called "the bull". It was a ride where there was a mechanical bull, and you sat on it, and tried not to get thrown off. I stayed on for a while, but eventually the bull hit a turn and I flew off. Some of our friends came and they joined as as we played some games. We headed out at around 3:30 and we enjoyed it. It was great

Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween everyone! Its the season to dress up and go door to door eating candy. I enjoy carving pumpkins with my family as well. We bought one for each kid. My sister, me, and my brother. I am not going trick or treating this year. But we ALWAYS have more than enough candy. We get pillow cases as candy bags, and we fill them to the top. It is a fun time for the family and, honestly, I just do it for the CANDY. It is a great time. We usually end around 10:00 PM. Have a great Halloween and eat some candy for me!

My New Breakfast
My mom took me to a nutritionist because I'm hungry all the time. The nutritionist told me to get protein, that has now changed my breakfast forever. My breakfast used to be a heaping bowl of cereal, but now I've got something more filling. Now are you ready to see what it is? Its called smoothie and eggs. I usually have scrambled eggs and 2 scoops of protein powder in my smoothie. Usually, inside the smoothie, I have 5 ounces of grape juice, 8 frozen pineapples, 5 ounces of orange juice, and 2 frozen strawberries. You see that does make a pretty good breakfast, and it gives you a jolt in the morning, so I enjoy it. My sister cooks up the eggs, while my mom does the smoothie. Have a good Wednesday evening!

The Adoption Story of My Brother Justus
This is the story of how our family got Justus. Once upon a time there was a family of four. There was my Mom, my Dad, and my sister and Spencer galore. We were on the adoption list, so patient, so mild, little did we know we would get a boy so awesome and wild. Suddenly there was a call so neat. That when Mom and Dad heard it they jumped out of there seat. Only later did my sister and me know, that we would get a little brother that would lead the show. We held fundraisers, saved money did all we can, to get sweet Justus the little man. The first trip to Ethiopia came, and so did the second trip always the same. Then after a week of waiting, as fast as you go when you slip during ice skating. We shouted with joy, with pleasure, with glee. Now Justus lives with us twenty four/seven and I hope he will stay with me until we go to heaven.
That is the story of how we got Justus.

You see we have the preaching and the praise and worship and all of that, but we also have video games, pool tables, Foosball and much much more we can play before and after service! Also there is sodas, chocolate, and other candy as well you can buy! It is a really fun experience! Occasionally we will have something REALLY exciting like a magician, inflatables, or a drive in movie. I really enjoy JV Infinity.

Last Race
The last race for started when we and my family set off for the Macon Co race. This was the 1st postseason race and I was very excited. It was a 2 mile race and had lots of hills... I ran varsity and I placed for spaces away from qualifying for the championship race. You see the top 40 individuals make it even if there team does not and the top 5 teams for boys and girls go on to state. Anyway I ran a 13:34 for 2 miles, and the boys got 8th and the girls got 12th. A lot of our star players were not there, but I tried my best anyway. It was a good race and I hope I get to see the same fun next year... But just because cross country is over does not mean I will not stop posting so keep checking because every so often I will post again!
Thanks for Reading,
Spencer

The Race
Yesterday was a big day for me. You see, we had a big cross country race, and it took 4 hours to get to the event. The day started out as we left at around 11:00 am on Saturday and headed out... On the way we stopped to have lunch at McDonald's, and then we headed back on the road. When we finally got there we walked the course, stretched and then the girls middle school race began. Finally, the boys middle school race began and I headed to the starting line... There was a lot of teams, and their was more that many lanes. Finally the gun was off! We were running and running and finally I made it to the finish line! The finish area took place in a big stadium, and people were clapping and cheering for me as I finished first for the team. I didn't get 1st place, but I still did good. The race was a mile and a quarter, and I ran it in 8 minutes and 10 seconds. Lastly we watched the high school events, and then went home. It was a fun race!

The New Dollar General
Hello everyone, I have something to share with you that is really cool. A couple of weeks ago a new Dollar General opened very very close to my house. I mean I can walk to the Dollar General. All I have to do is get my parent's permission, and then I take a back way to it. On some days, I ask my parents if they need anything from there, and they give me money so I can run down there and back. Inside the Dollar General, they have clothes, toys. food and drinks, deserts, gift cards, home and living supplies, school supplies, and much much more. They also have some great deals. Do you like Little Debbie? Well at the Dollar General, you can get 2 boxes of anything Little Debbie for just 3 dollars. Also, they have Clover valley bread and hamburger and hot dog buns for just 1 dollar. Next up, they have all Chef Boyardee, Snack Pack pudding, Rice Krispie treat, and Austin Crackers items for just 1 dollar each ! Those are my deals of the week! Every week I have will have a deals of the week for one random store... Have a good day!

Yesterday
Yesterday I made up some football teams for the NFL. I made up at least one team for each state like the Wyoming Wreckers, and the Hawaii Hyper cats. Anyhow I think the football league should expand, so I used my imagination to create a series of team for the NFL.
Yesterday was fun for me. We just sat in our pajamas and hung out around the house while my parents fixed the washer... The washer had a leak by the way.
Anyhow here is some Cross country tips for you... Always keep your arms in a 90 degree angle, do not swing them from side to side. Make sure your arms swing in 90 degree angles from front to back. I hope you have a good day!

Hey 2 You
Hey, how is everybody doing? I hope you all have gotten to know me, and today I will continue with some more stuff about me. OK I am a Christ follower and I attend my church every Wednesday and Sunday. Also, I love the Lord. Anyhow, hear is the moment you've all been waiting for Some Cross Country stuff. Not a lot today, just enough to tell you what I run. OK I run 1 and a half miles or two miles on race day. But on practice days I run 3,4,5,6,or 7 miles and we(me and my team) run usually in the morning around 6 am. Now you see, you cant just get out there and run 3 miles if you haven't ran a day in your life. You have to train first. But you can train by maybe running in your neighborhood, the street, or maybe just your local YMCA. Try running less than a quarter mile for a couple of days, but slowly progress your way to a quarter mile, then repeat the same process until you get to a half a mile and then so on and so forth. Running is great for me and I hope it is great for you too.
